This complimentary CLE webinar will review ethical issues and implications of fraudulent conduct, misrepresentation and deceit that comes to the attention of in-house counsel. Presenters will discuss in-house counsel's role as gatekeeper for reporting and disclosing sensitive matters, and lawyer professional boundaries when faced with client conduct that is criminal, fraudulent or presents some form of misrepresentation. Topics will include honesty in negotiations, pretexting, various client communications, internal investigations including sexual harassment matters, implications of Sarbanes Oxley, and consideration of other collateral consequences.

Neither the Connecticut Judicial Branch nor the Commission on Minimum Continuing Legal Education approves or accredits CLE providers or activities. It is the opinion of this provider that this webinar qualifies for up to one hour toward your annual CLE requirement in Connecticut, including one hour of ethics/professionalism.

This CLE webinar has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York CLE Board for a maximum of one credit hour in Ethics and Professionalism and is appropriate for both transitional and nontransitional attorneys; New York CLE for on-demand webinar viewing is available to nontransitional attorneys only.
