Victory in CT Appellate Court in Long-Standing Dispute

Community Bank

Secured a significant victory for our client - a community bank - in the Connecticut Appellate Court in a dispute with a borrower seeking to avoid foreclosure on undeveloped property in Westport, Connecticut that was given as security for a substantial loan. The Appellate Court’s most-recent decision in this longstanding dispute upholds the lower court’s judgment after a trial that title to the property should be transferred to the bank and clears the way for the bank to pursue the debt on which the borrower defaulted.
