Brought to you by COSA's Board of Directors, this timely webinar on Teacher Discipline is one of a series of 4 webinars reviewing the basics of school law.

Teacher discipline in the public school context can take various forms; the most common being dismissal, non-renewal, suspension, reprimand/warning and fine.  Employee discipline is governed by state law, board policies, administrative regulations, and collective bargaining agreements. The teacher may have a constitutionally protected property right in his/her employment that can also affect discipline options.

Anne Littlefield, Partner and Co-Chair of Shipman & Goodwin's School Law Practice Group joins with Jay Worona, Past COSA Chair, General Counsel, New York State School Boards Association. The webinar is hosted by Sonja Trainor, NSBA Senior Staff Attorney.
