Brown and Roberts Recognized as New Leaders in the Law

Rebecca B. Brown and William J. Roberts have been named “New Leaders in the Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune, which honored attorneys under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to the legal profession.

As a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Finance practices, Rebecca Brown represents lenders and borrowers in real estate financing and commercial and residential real estate development transactions. She has extensive experience handling complex matters involving distressed real property assets, workouts and foreclosures. In addition, Ms. Brown has been engaged in large-scale acquisitions for real estate development projects, including mixed-use residential housing and shopping centers. Ms. Brown also represents buyers and sellers in connection with their high-end residential transactions as well as landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters.

William Roberts is a member of the firm’s Health Law practice, where he counsels clients on a wide range of legal issues pertinent to the health care and life science sectors, including corporate and regulatory compliance, telemedicine, social media, and government investigations. With his extensive experience in data privacy and security matters, he handles data breaches for both health care and non-health care clients. Mr. Roberts also works with clients on the development and implementation of compliance programs, including reviewing policies and procedures, conducting employee training and responding to compliance incidents.
