Thomas E. Purcell

As Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Tom Purcell provides a strategic role in the overall financial and operational management of the firm. 

Tom provides leadership in the development of the strategic financial objectives.  He works with firm ownership to further enhance financial performance and ensures financial credibility by providing financial analysis, trends and projections.

Additionally, Tom analyzes organizational operations, capital projects, facilities, and monetary resources.  He identifies opportunities for improvement and initiates action plans leading to operation enhancements.

Tom has more than twenty years of experience in the legal administration profession and has worked at three additional law firms prior to Shipman.  Tom began his career in public accounting.
