Mary Jo Andrews practices in the areas of real estate, land use and municipal law, representing clients in a wide range of conveyancing and leasing transactions as well as in public/private urban redevelopment projects. On zoning matters, she represents private schools, hospitals and similar institutions with development projects on their campuses. Mary Jo also has experience with the real estate aspects of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Environmental Land Use Restrictions (ELUR).
Mary Jo has developed a special knowledge of local, state and federal historic preservation law. She regularly advises clients on matters relating to the ownership of historic property. Mary Jo is particularly interested in housing issues and represents nonprofit developers of supportive housing in the real estate, zoning, financing and leasing aspects of these transactions, and she has worked on the real estate aspects of affordable housing developments.
