Erin Shaffer focuses her practice in the area of School Law. She handles special education, regular education, disciplinary issues, and school accommodation matters.
Prior to joining Shipman, Erin was a Staff Attorney at New Haven Legal Assistance Association for 18 years. In that role, Erin represented families of children and youth requiring assistance with education matters. She also closely monitored educational legislation and served as an advocate for change in education laws, policies, and procedures on a state and local level.
Erin frequently presents on a wide variety of topics such as truancy, expulsion, school discipline and special education.
