Brenda Eckert is "Of Counsel" to Shipman. She is a long-time member of the Employment and Labor Practice Group and served as the chair of the Immigration Law practice for several years handling employment-based and family-based immigration. She has successfully provided timely employment-based immigration advice and services to various business clients, ranging from small employers to Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, biotechnology, financial services, manufacturing, education (including public and private schools and colleges and universities), and publishing. She has also counseled U.S. employers regarding I-9 compliance and self-audits, as well as compliance with the federal anti-discrimination immigration laws.
Brenda founded and served as the chair of the Immigration Law practice for several years and has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1987. She is also a member of the Connecticut chapter of AILA.
