Arnold Shimelman practices in the areas of real estate law, conveyancing, construction and development matters, condemnation law, transportation law and related fields.
Arnold has represented a large number of clients in an array of real estate acquisitions and leasing matters, new construction, expansion and renovation capital projects. Such representation has included the negotiation of architect and construction management agreements, construction contracts and specialized engineering and related construction industry agreements. Such projects have ranged in value from less than one million dollars to in excess of five hundred million dollars. He represented the State of Connecticut in its acquisition by condemnation and purchase, and in negotiating architect and construction management agreements for both the Rentschler Field Stadium and the Adriaen's Landing projects. Arnold also served as the lead lawyer for the construction and design professional contracting for a large health care facility located in Fairfield County as well as for numerous school districts throughout Connecticut.
