Natalia Sieira Millán is a member of the firm's School Law Practice Group and represents local and regional boards of education, regional educational service centers, and charter schools in all areas of school law, including freedom of information hearings, policy development, student disciplinary matters, personnel issues including employee disciplinary matters, investigations, collective bargaining with certified and non-certified bargaining units, and all other legal proceedings involving educational entities.  Natalia regularly delivers comprehensive presentations to clients on education topics, including, DCF matters, FMLA and ADA practices, implicit bias in the hiring process, board governance and operations, progressive discipline, and employee investigations.

Natalia is committed to serving her clients effectively and efficiently through the delivery of high quality legal advice which is timely, practical and creative.  In addition to her support for public education through her law practice, Natalia is passionate about teaching school law to future administrators and lawyers. Currently, Natalia teaches school law courses at the University of Connecticut Neag School of Education, the School of Education at Quinnipiac University and Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Natalia is an active member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at Shipman, and Natalia focuses her pro bono practice on the representation of minors in immigration matters. In the community, Natalia serves on the Junior Board of Directors of the Family and Children’s Agency, and as a volunteer translator for the Starfish Connection and the Connecticut Association of Community Health Workers. A native of Spain, Natalia is fluent in Spanish and Galician.
