Kelly practices commercial finance and real estate law and represents national and community banks, insurance companies, pension funds and other lending institutions. She brings a pragmatic approach to structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing sophisticated, commercial real estate-based classes including:

  • multi-family
  • office
  • retail
  • industrial
  • health/senior care facilities
  • mixed use properties

Kelly also advises clients throughout the country on asset-based transactions including equipment loans, accounts receivable loans, warehouse loans and viatical life settlement policies and loans.

Kelly’s transactions in real estate and commercial finance range size from $2.5MM to $1B and from construction, term, revolving, non-revolving and syndicated loans secured by business or real estate assets to loans secured by death benefits and life insurance, to affordable housing and historic tax credit transactions. She also has provided assistance to lenders in connection with financings for renewable energy projects and U.S. and international investments in natural resources, including, timber. For owners and developers of commercial real estate, Kelly assists clients in structuring drafting, negotiating and closing complex acquisitions and dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and leasing transactions.

Kelly’s expertise was initially developed during her first nine years of practice in a national law firm.
