Two Shipman Partners Named To Hartford Business Journal’s 2022 Power 50 List
February 28, 2022
Shipman & Goodwin LLP is proud to announce that managing partner Leander A. Dolphin and partner Matthew D. Ritter have both been named to Hartford Business Journal’s (“HBJ”) “Power 50 List” for 2022. The list, released this week, highlights 50 private- and public-sector, nonprofit, higher education, real estate and healthcare officials in Greater Hartford who are not only top leaders within their organizations, but also of the broader community.
Dolphin, named Shipman’s managing partner in January, continues to advise universities, colleges, public school districts, independent schools and other clients on a variety of education and employment issues ranging from special education disputes to claims of sexual harassment and policies involving the Americans with Disabilities Act. In her role as employment lawyer, she has helped many clients deal with COVID-related issues, including vaccine mandates and workplace health and safety. In addition, she is active in the community, and in November, she was elected to the Connecticut Business and Industry Association’s Board of Directors.
Ritter, who practices in the areas of public finance, municipal law and election law at Shipman, was named for his service as Speaker of the House of the Connecticut House of Representatives. Matt and his counterpart in the Senate, Martin Looney were identified by HBJ in that capacity as “major influencers in shaping state policy.”
The HBJ’s Power 50 list for 2022 was released both digitally and in print this week.
