Shipman & Goodwin LLP is pleased to announce that Nina Pelc-Faszcza has joined the firm as Counsel in the Immigration Practice Group.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nina to Shipman,” said Co-Chair of the Labor, Employment and Education department, Jarad Lucan. “Her experience in business immigration law will allow her to step in quickly to complement our existing immigration practice at a time when domestic and global events demand it.”
Nina represents a wide range of employers—including healthcare organizations, educational institutions, biotech companies, manufacturers, and financial institutions—on matters relating to U.S. immigration. Her practice focuses on preparing and filing various petitions, applications, and other applicable filings on behalf of employees and their family members, including nonimmigrant status petitions (e.g., H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN); applications for permanent employment certification (PERM); immigrant petitions including petitions for multinational managers/executives and individuals of extraordinary ability; and applications for adjustment of status to permanent residence. She also advises companies on compliance matters relating to the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, including initial completion, employee reverification, and record retention. Nina helps navigate the array of complex requirements and restrictions surrounding temporary and permanent U.S. immigration, staying up to date on constantly shifting regulations and legislation, thereby allowing clients to access and retain foreign talent at all levels within the organization. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
“I am very excited to join the immigration team at Shipman,” said Nina. “I look forward to contributing to this thriving practice and supporting the firm’s clients in all of their U.S. immigration needs.”
Nina will practice out of Shipman’s Hartford office.
