Shipman Welcomes Anthony Scarcella, Deepens Bench in Workouts, Restructure and Bankruptcy Law

Shipman & Goodwin LLP is pleased to announce that Anthony R. Scarcella has joined the firm as an associate in the Workout, Restructure and Bankruptcy Practice Group. He advises clients in a wide variety of complex matters in connection with bankruptcy filings and insolvency proceedings.
Prior to joining Shipman, Anthony was an associate in Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP’s Business Reorganization & Restructuring practice, where he represented debtors, lenders, official committees of unsecured creditors, and special committees in both in- and out-of court restructurings and related litigation.
“Anthony brings industry knowledge and experience with national and international reorganizations that will increase our bandwidth and deepen the bench for our busy team," said Eric Goldstein, chair of Shipman’s Workout, Restructure and Bankruptcy group.
Anthony earned his J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the St. John’s Law Review. In law school, Anthony interned for both the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Honorable Nelson S. Roman, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Anthony received his B.A., cum laude, in Philosophy from Colgate University. He will be resident in Shipman's Hartford office.
