Shipman & Goodwin LLP is pleased to announce that Natalia Sieira Millán has been named to the Hartford Business Journal’s 2024 40 Under Forty list. Natalia was recognized as an outstanding young professional in the greater Hartford area for her work as a lawyer in Shipman’s school law practice representing local and regional boards of education and charter schools in all areas of school law, including freedom of information hearings, policy development, student disciplinary matters, personnel issues and collective bargaining.
“We congratulate Natalia on this well-deserved honor,” said Managing Partner Leander Dolphin. “She is a tireless advocate for our clients, utilizing her keen legal insight to analyze and advise on the complex issues facing schools today. She also serves on our diversity, equity, and inclusion committee here at the firm and we are delighted to see her recognized for all of her contributions, both at Shipman and in our community.”
Natalia joined Shipman as an associate in 2018 and immediately distinguished herself as a passionate—and compassionate--part of the school law practice group at Shipman. Says Natalia, “My biggest professional accomplishment has been finding a practice that I love. Before joining Shipman, I always knew I loved the law but had not yet found my home. Being a school lawyer has become the most enriching experience of my professional life, and I am honored to be included alongside other greater Hartford community leaders as one of Hartford Business Journal’s Forty Under 40.”
Natalia currently serves on Shipman’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She also volunteers with the Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) and has served on its Junior Board of Advisors for 11 years. She also volunteers regularly at local organizations and shelters in Connecticut.
