Shipman Partner Alfredo Fernández Named to Hispanic National Bar Association’s Top Lawyers Under 40

Shipman & Goodwin LLP is proud to announce that partner Alfredo G. Fernández has been selected to receive the prestigious 2022 “HNBA Top Lawyers Under 40” Award.

The Hispanic National Bar Association (“HNBA”) announced its annual list on February 28, 2022 following a rigorous review process.  The “Top Lawyers Under 40” Award honors “exceptionally accomplished lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.”

“The HNBA is pleased to honor 40 of our best young Hispanic lawyers from across the nation, showcasing the exceptional legal talent and leadership that our community has to offer,” Carlos M. Bollar, HNBA National President. “The award recipients were selected from a number of highly qualified candidates. The overwhelming number of highly qualified nominees every year illustrates our progress in the areas of law and leadership. Although much work remains to be done, the HNBA will continue to celebrate and highlight our talented lawyers that distinguish themselves.”

Alfredo Fernández advises regional and national manufacturing, technology, education and real estate organizations with a focus on environmental and international trade matters. He serves as the Chair of the firm's Manufacturing Industry Team and was recently named Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.  Alfredo demonstrates all of the attributes that HNBA noted, both in his work as a lawyer at the firm and in all of his many contributions to the committees on which he serves.

Fernández said, “In keeping with the theme for the upcoming corporate counsel conference, ‘Raising the Bar,’ I am honored to be recognized among a group of accomplished Hispanic lawyers who will continue to elevate their goals and impacts in the profession and in the community.”

The awards will be presented during the HNBA/VIA CCC2022 Top Lawyers Under 40 Reception on Friday, March 25, 2022.
