September 14, 2021
Shipman is pleased to announce the expansion of its Corporate Trust practice group with the addition of three attorneys based out of its Hartford, Stamford and Washington D.C. offices. The team’s expansion adds further bench strength to the busy practice allowing it to continue to meet client demand with responsive and quality legal services. With deep knowledge of the banking and finance industries, the new lawyers also bring capabilities to the group in the crypto currency, securitization and alternative finance markets.
Shipman’s Corporate Trust group partners with the agency and corporate trust departments of financial institutions, counseling them in their roles as indenture trustees, administrative agents, owner trustees, collateral or security agents and escrow agents in a wide variety of performing and defaulted secured and unsecured financing transactions. The group routinely works with equity and debt participants across the country and internationally in bringing these complex transactions to a successful close, assisting clients in administering ongoing duties and exercising their rights and maximizing recovery when defaults occur.
“We’re thrilled to have added tremendous talent with diverse experience to our Corporate Trust team this year. Our lateral hires bring deep industry knowledge and a broad range of skills from top international law firms, financial services companies and cryptocurrency companies, while our new associates increase our bandwidth in servicing our institutional clients,” said Marie Pollio, a Partner in Shipman’s Corporate Trust team.
