Shipman & Goodwin is proud to announce that associates Sarah Kettenmann and Brian Remondino have been named to Fairfield County Business Journal’s prestigious "40 Under Forty” list for 2025. This annual recognition celebrates the region's most influential and accomplished young professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, professional achievement, and community involvement.
"Sarah and Brian exemplify the caliber of legal talent and commitment to excellence that defines our firm," said Leander Dolphin, Managing Partner at Shipman & Goodwin. "Their recognition among Fairfield County's 40 Under Forty reflects not only their professional accomplishments but also their dedication to our clients and communities."
Sarah has distinguished herself as a leader in environmental law, co-authoring the first English-to-Mandarin Dictionary of Environmental and Climate Change Law and contributing to numerous legal publications. She chairs the Environmental Committee for the Fairfield County Bar Association and is a founding member of Interlaw's global team addressing PFAS regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Her pro bono work includes successfully securing clemency for a client serving a disproportionate sentence for a non-violent offense. Conversational in German and Mandarin, Sarah volunteers with her therapy dog at Norwalk Nuvance Hospital and participated in groundbreaking oceanic research funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Marine Debris Program, and in collaboration with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Woods Hole Sea Grant.
A Stamford native who returned to Fairfield County in 2022, Brian has distinguished himself, demonstrating outstanding legal strategy on high-value litigation matters and bankruptcy cases. He is also recognized for his work on high-profile cases earlier in his career, including investigations into the Philadelphia Police Department's response following George Floyd's death and the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's handling of remains from the 1985 MOVE bombing. Brian’s reputation for high-quality work has made him increasingly sought after - among both clients and colleagues alike.
The 40 Under Forty award winners were published by Westfair Business Journal on April 14th. The honorees will be celebrated at an awards dinner on June 12th at Serafresca at the IC in Stamford, recognizing their outstanding contributions and achievements.
