Worked with multiple City of New Haven, Connecticut officials, boards and staff to manage a complicated public hearing process, negotiations, arbitration and draft of zoning regulations for a new zoning district to meet the special needs of downtown medical institutions (including the proposed Yale-New Haven Cancer Center). The new regulations were designed to address the need for state-of-the-art medical institutions consistent with several other ongoing economic and community development initiatives in the downtown area. In addition to managing intense public and private interest regarding the Cancer Center itself, the firm worked with City departments to coordinate zoning approvals, negotiate property sales and to draft practical regulations to achieve future goals.
