Defense of Claims of Environmental Contamination Related to Sale of Real Property
National Life Sciences Company
Defended a national life sciences company, as successor to a local manufacturing firm, in a state court action for environmental cost recovery/breach of real estate agreement concerning a former manufacturing facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. The lawsuit alleges that Life Tech’s predecessor misrepresented the environmental condition of the property with regard to PCBs when selling it, breached the Purchase and Sale Agreement, and violated the Connecticut Property Transfer Act and Connecticut Environmental Protection Act. The matter settled.
