Large Quaternary Care Hospital
February 06, 2014
Represented a large quaternary care hospital in connection with a 2012 Office of Inspector General audit relating to short inpatient stays, credits for medical devices, canceled surgeries, and E&M codes. Successfully argued regarding the ability of hospitals to explant medical devices in order to pursue manufacturer credits and the ability of hospitals to bill for the inpatient stay even if scheduled surgery/procedure is canceled.
