Alfredo G. Fernández elected to CONNSTEP, Inc. Board of Directors

Shipman & Goodwin is pleased to announce that Alfredo G. Fernández has been elected as a member of the CONNSTEP, Inc. Board of Directors.

CONNSTEP is a leading Connecticut business consulting firm. CONNSTEP’s mission is to help Connecticut small and medium-sized manufacturers and other businesses reach their goals by strengthening their strategic, technical, and operational expertise, thereby supporting the growth of Connecticut’s economy.

Alfredo focuses his practice on advising regional and national manufacturing, technology, education and real estate organizations with a focus on environmental and international trade matters. He serves as the head of the firm's Manufacturing Industry Team and is also chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Leading the firm’s International Trade Practice, Alfredo also advises companies on matters involving the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other matters affecting international trade and business. In the environmental arena, Alfredo advises clients on compliance and transactional matters and is one of the state’s thought leaders on emerging issues such as PFAS chemicals. Prior to joining Shipman, Alfredo worked as an aerospace engineer for a leading aircraft engine manufacturer.
