Heating Oil Purchase Contract Dispute

Successfully defended institutional client against claims involving alleged breach of contract, CUTPA violations, negligent misrepresentation, promissory estoppel, and fraudulent/intentional misrepresentation and seeking damages related to the alleged agreement to purchase over $600,000 of heating oil on the futures market.  The trial court granted summary judgment on two of the six counts and the trial court rendered a decisive opinion dismissing all of the remaining counts of the claim.
