Health Care Business and Finance

We assist health care clients with the full range of their corporate and regulatory needs. We approach our business engagements in a practical way. We focus on the client’s goals and add value.

We often counsel and regularly advise clients on corporate governance issues, including conflicts of interest, corporate bylaws and committee charters. We advise hospitals and physicians on credentialing, privileging, peer review, professional misconduct, disciplinary action, compliance, and bylaws.   Members of our team have experience advising hospitals and other tax exempt entities with respect to community benefit, private inurement and unrelated business income tax issues.

Our combined team of health lawyers and mergers and acquisition lawyers together have represented many clients in reorganizations, acquisitions, integrations, joint ventures, and affiliations. Our representation has included expansion of health care systems to acquire new hospitals, assisting with the merger of a hospital system with an academic medical center and establishing a joint venture ambulatory surgery center with physicians.
