The Hartford County Bar Association will present a discussion panel titled, "New Laws, Recent Cases, and What's on the Horizon for General Practitioners."  The program will provide an overview of basic practice issues for solo and small firm practitioners and what they need to know about new laws and recent significant cases affecting the general practice attorney. 

The panel will discuss a variety of topics, such as:
  • Recent legislation and new laws effective recently, October 1 or thereafter affecting various practice areas, including: real estate, environmental, commercial law & bankruptcy, and civil and criminal law.
  • Recent decisions and case law affecting civil and probate practice and litigation.
  • What to expect from the General Assembly and the state government for legislation, policies and regulations affecting health care, insurance, business, and other practice areas.
