New Partners Named: Leander Dolphin, Michael Fritz and Eric Goldstein

Leander A. Dolphin, Michael J. Fritz and Eric S. Goldstein have been named partners of the firm.

Leander Dolphin is a member of the firm's School Law and Labor & Employment Law practices. She represents public school districts, independent schools, colleges and universities in a variety of education and employment matters, including in claims before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and the Office for Civil Rights. Attorney Dolphin also counsels clients in the private, public and non-profit sectors on employment matters, and is a frequently requested speaker and author. She previously served as Vice President, Human Resources and General Counsel at the Girl Scouts of Connecticut. In addition to her practice, Attorney Dolphin is an Adjunct Professor of Education Law at Quinnipiac University School of Law, is a member of the National School Boards Association’s Council of School Attorneys and is a Board member of the Governor’s Prevention Partnership. In 2013 and 2014, Attorney Dolphin was recognized as a Connecticut Super Lawyer Rising Star® in Schools & Education Law. She was also named a New Leader in the Law in 2014 by the Connecticut Law Tribune.

Michael Fritz practices in the areas of business, finance and real estate. He represents private equity funds, venture capital funds, and other business entities in a variety of commercial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, preferred equity investments, distressed investments and private placements.  Attorney Fritz also serves as outside general counsel to a number of clients, advising on matters such as business formation, corporate governance, business operations, commercial contracting and other general corporate matters.  In his finance practice, Attorney Fritz represents borrowers, commercial banks, mezzanine lenders, and other lending institutions in connection with structuring, negotiating, and closing complex commercial, asset-based, and acquisition financing transactions.  Attorney Fritz also has extensive experience representing clients in commercial real estate matters, including the purchase, development and disposition of real estate assets, mortgage and mezzanine financings, preferred equity investments, and the formation of joint ventures. Attorney Fritz was listed as a Connecticut Super Lawyer Rising Star® in Business/Corporate in 2012.

Eric Goldstein practices in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, representing clients throughout the United States. He has served as lead national or regional bankruptcy counsel for a variety of businesses, including Fortune 500 companies. Attorney Goldstein has extensive experience handling complex commercial litigation matters and foreclosure actions. In addition, he has substantial experience in corporate trust default matters representing trustees as fiduciaries for public and private debt. For the past two years, Attorney Goldstein has been recognized as a Connecticut Super Lawyer Rising Star® in Bankruptcy. In 2014, the Connecticut Law Tribune selected him as a New Leader in the Law; he was also selected by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges as a Next Generation 2012 Member.
