Shipman & Goodwin has launched EmploymentLawLetter.com, a complimentary online resource for employers to stay current on developing issues in labor and employment law. This central source provides access to timely analysis of critical legal developments, issues and rulings in key areas such as employment discrimination, sexual harassment prevention, immigration, employee investigations, data privacy and labor relations.

The firm’s new resource is an expansion of its popular Employment Law Letter publication and includes an extensive collection of articles, as well as details on upcoming seminars, events and attorney speaking engagements that are relevant to employers. EmploymentLawLetter.com offers substantive analysis and guidance by the attorneys in the firm’s national Labor and Employment Practice Group. This team of more than 25 attorneys is known for its breadth of knowledge and experience advising employers on every aspect of the employment relationship, including hiring and termination, employee benefits, FMLA, employee discipline, collective bargaining and labor matters. In addition to their practices, the attorneys are frequent speakers and authors on a wide range of labor and employment issues.

“The Employment Law Letter has been a valuable source of labor and employment information for employers over the last 40 years, and we are proud to continue its success by expanding to an online format,” said Gabriel J. Jiran, Chair of the Labor and Employment Practice Group. “We are especially excited to offer employers the opportunity to sign up to receive automatic notifications when new information is posted on the website,” he said.

Attorneys in the Labor and Employment Practice represent private sector employers (startup, middle market and Fortune 500 companies) in major industries, including manufacturing, education, health care, wholesale and retail, finance, insurance and private equity. In addition, they represent public employers, service organizations and other non-profit enterprises, including municipalities, municipal boards and commissions, local and regional school boards, and state agencies.
