Employers are constantly faced with complex situations involving employee leave and accommodation requests under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and a variety of state and local paid sick and family leave acts. Join Shipman lawyers Daniel A. Schwartz, Keegan A. Drenosky and Claire Pariano as they discuss some of the more difficult scenarios employers may encounter, including (but not limited to):
- Unusual employee accommodation requests, such as a job coach or time off
- Responses to mental health conditions, including stress, generalized anxiety, or phobias
- The interplay of different leave entitlements and an employer’s internal leave policies
- Documentation issues and an employee’s failure to comply with documentation requirements
