Stephanie Gomes-Ganhão and Damian Privitera, joined by Joan Feldman and William Roberts, will provide an overview of the rules and tips for how to develop a practical and compliant privacy program.The privacy rules set forth in 42 CFR Part 2 governing the use and disclosure of patient information by substance abuse programs were recently revised for only the second time in the past 30 years. Understanding and complying with these rules can be daunting to even the most sophisticated substance abuse treatment program.
