Daniel Schwartz Selected to Serve on American Bar Association's Presidential Appointments Committee

Daniel A. Schwartz, a partner in the firm's Employment Law practice group and author of the award-winning Connecticut Employment Law Blog, has been appointed to serve as a member of the American Bar Association’s Presidential Appointments Committee. The Committee oversees the appointments of members to approximately 90 committees and other groups, including the ABA’s Standing and Special Committees, Commissions, Task Forces and other ABA entities for the 2020-21 ABA year.
Dan has been active in the American Bar Association throughout much of his legal career, serving on the ABA’s House of Delegates since 2005, as a Connecticut State Delegate since 2015, and on the ABA’s Nominating Committee since 2015. He is also Past Co-Chair of its Social Media Subcommittee, and a long-time member of the Labor & Employment Law Section.
Dan represents employers in a broad spectrum of employment law matters such as employment discrimination, restrictive covenants, human resources, retaliation and whistle blowing, data privacy and wage and hour issues. He has extensive trial and litigation experience in both federal and state courts in a variety of areas, including commercial litigation and trade secret enforcement. He has also represented employers in appeals to the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
