This training will offer guidance for schools engaging in off-campus trips and activities, including international travel, creating trip waiver forms and compliance packages.  We will discuss steps schools can take to minimize potential risks, including development of appropriate trip waiver, permission and notification forms. Topics include:

• Risk disclosure and travel information
• Permission and release forms
• Insurance coverage and policy limits
• Medical authorization forms, health and welfare issues
• Travel (and pre-travel) policies, procedures and protocols
• Emergency concerns and communications
• Chaperone guidelines, training and background checks
