Attorneys to Serve on CT Hispanic Bar Assoc Board

Alfredo G. Fernandez and Sonia M. Pedraza, attorneys with the firm, have been elected to leadership positions in the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA). Through its substantial efforts to serve the bar and the Hispanic community in Connecticut, the CHBA strives to enhance professional opportunities for Hispanic attorneys; mentor new lawyers and law students; and address issues impacting the Hispanic community, such as access to the courts, judicial diversity and other social challenges.

Alfredo Fernandez was elected to the CHBA’s slate of officers to serve as Treasurer, following a term as the association’s Director of Communications. He was also the CHBA liaison for the Connecticut Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. Mr. Fernandez is a member of the firm's Government Investigations and White Collar Criminal Defense Group, with a focus on International Trade Compliance and Enforcement. Sonia Pedraza will serve as a member of the Board of Directors. She is a member of the firm’s Immigration practice, where she focuses primarily on employment-based immigration law. Ms. Pedraza also practices in the areas of tort, product liability and business litigation, representing clients in a variety of complex litigation matters.
