New England Estates v. Town of Branford

Counsel to property owners in challenges to government use of eminent domain and violation of property in the condemnation process.  Represented the plaintiffs in New England Estates v. Town of Branford, through local land use proceedings, trial in state court alleging eminent domain abuse, argument in the Connecticut Supreme Court, and ultimately settlement.  Tim has also represented owners of contaminated properties, commercial parking facilities, hydroelectric dams in contesting government takings, and litigated the first case involving the legislature's 2007 post Kelo v. New London amendments to the eminent domain laws.
