Jill O'Toole and co-presenters Bob Langer and Allan Hillman of Wiggin and Dana LLP will present the session "Antitrust and CUTPA: General Principles, Hot Topics, and What Makes Connecticut Law Special" from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

This program is intended for those relatively new to the areas of unfair trade practices laws and antitrust law. Attendees will be given:

  • An overview of the state’s little FTC Act (CUTPA) and the state’s antitrust law (CATA)
  • Insight into the latest antitrust and consumer protection developments at the state and federal level
  • Expectations about trends in the areas of consumer protection and antitrust enforcement

Greg Muccilli will also be presenting as part of the "Real Property/Environmental Law Track" session from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Participants will be provided with a review and analysis of recent cases of interest to real property practitioners as well as bills that have recently passed in the legislative session, and a review of those bills that may not have passed but bear watching. 

Attendees will learn:

  • About the important cases of 2018-2019 
  • About the important cases and statutes affecting conveyancing in Connecticut
  • About important statute changes in the 2018-2019 legislative session 

Laura Schuyler will be a panelist on the Animal Law Section’s program "Incorporating Animal Law into Your Practice: Updates & Trends" from 2:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.
