Miriam Godfrey Lewis and Matthew Monteith will serve on the judges panel of the "15th Shipman & Goodwin  Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) Elevator Pitch Competition," sponsored by the CCSU Entrepreneurship Club and Shipman & Goodwin. The firm has been a supporter and sponsor of this competition for the past eight years. Students majoring in business and other studies participate in the contest which is based on the concept of having 60 seconds or less, the time it takes to ride up an elevator, to “pitch” an opportunity or sales idea to a potential investor or customer. Winners will be selected using several criteria, including their clarity in presenting the idea; the competitive strength of the concept; the viability or likelihood of success; the balance of risk versus reward; and the enthusiasm and credibility of the presenter.
