$120 Million Hartford Development "The Learning Corridor"

The Learning Corridor Corporation: Trinity College and Hartford Hospital

The firm acted as general counsel to The Learning Corridor Corporation, a non-profit corporation created principally by Trinity College and Hartford Hospital to develop and manage The Learning Corridor, a $120,000,000 development in Hartford consisting of a Montessori magnet school, a Hartford public middle school, an arts and sciences magnet high school (including a theatre), together with related common facilities, including a parking garage. Representation to our clients consisted of assisting in the assembly of numerous parcels, the supervision of environmental clean-up, the coordination of utility infrastructure, the negotiation of various architects' and construction management agreements, the long-term ground leasing of the property from the City of Hartford to the Learning Corridor Corporation and the subleasing of various facilities to end-users, and the coordination of the distribution of state and municipal bond proceeds for the construction of the facilities.
