Attorney Ross Garber served as a presenter, along with the District Director of the Department of Commerce and the manager of compliance for OFS Optics.

Anyone who does business with foreign customers or suppliers is operating in a minefield of complex regulations.  A misstep can result in grave consequences and, increasingly, criminal prosecution.  The briefing will provide practical guidance to companies on how to ensure they are complying with the export control laws and what to do if they are suspected of non-compliance.  It will include an outline of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
