The American Bar Association Business Law Section recently published a new book, The Law of Guaranties: A Jurisdiction-by-Jurisdiction Guide to U.S. and Canadian Law. The Connecticut chapter is co-authored by Jim Schulwolf of Shipman & Goodwin along with Michael F. Maglio, R. Jeffrey Smith, Thomas J. Welsh.

The Law of Guaranties is a unique resource for commercial lenders and their lawyers and collects detailed information about the laws of guaranty of all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada and applicable Federal statutes updated as of late 2012. The resource contains key cases, statutes, and nuances of the law of guaranty in each jurisdiction as well as Practice pointers about the law in that locality.
