Shipman & Goodwin Attorneys Hold Seminar on New Connecticut Law Mandating Safeguards for Personal Information

Attorneys John Kreitler and Cathy Intravia recently held a seminar entitled "New Connecticut Law Mandates Safeguards for Personal Information Including Social Security Numbers". Effective October 1, 2008, Connecticut will require both individuals and businesses that possess personal information of others to put in place safeguards to protect that information from misuse by others. The goal of the seminar was to provide information about the legal requirements to ensure compliance. Over one-hundred people attended seminars held in both the Hartford and Stamford Shipman & Goodwin offices.
