Shipman & Goodwin Attorney Matthew Ranelli Appointed to Board of Directors

Shipman & Goodwin LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew Ranelli, counsel in the firm’s Hartford office, has been selected to serve a four-year term on the Board of Directors of the newly established Connecticut Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA). Ranelli practices environmental, energy and land use law and was appointed by Senate President Pro Tempore Donald E. Williams, Jr. CEFIA is a new quasi-public agency created by the Connecticut General Assembly as part of Public Act 11-80 (An Act Concerning the Establishment of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Planning for Connecticut’s Energy Future). This major legislation created the first full-scale clean energy finance authority in the United States. CEFIA will develop new financing and investment opportunities to use low-cost capital for clean energy and energy efficiency projects in Connecticut.
