As the new school year begins, please join us for a workshop focusing on the obligations of school districts under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. During this workshop we will explore proper procedures for the location, evaluation and identification of students with disabilities, as well as the provision of accommodations inside and outside the classroom. We will also discuss recent cases, both administrative and federal, concerning school district obligations under Section 504.

Workshop topics will include:

  • The relationship between Section 504 and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
  • Evaluation requirements
  • Disciplining students under Section 504
  • Appropriate accommodations

Each participant is invited to bring a complimentary guest to the workshop. When registering, please register your guest as well. Parking will be provided if you park in Kinsley Street South Garage. Please bring your parking ticket with you for validation.
