Schulwolf to Moderate Panels for Key Finance Events

James C. Schulwolf, a partner with the firm's Business and Finance practice, will be the moderator of a panel discussion at the Annual Convention of the Commercial Finance Association in Washington, DC on November 14. “Playing in the Sandbox - Relationships and Key Issues Among Syndicate Banks and Agents” is presented by the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s Commercial Finance Committee, of which Attorney Schulwolf has been Chair since 2010.

In addition, at the 4th Annual Economic Forum in Connecticut on November 25, Attorney Schulwolf will be the moderator of “From Cradle to Grave & Everything In Between - A Practical Guide to Running & Funding a Business in Connecticut.”  The forum also features a keynote address by Congressman James A. Himes and is co-sponsored by the Turnaround Management Association (CTTMA), the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Crossroads Venture Group (CVG). Attorney Schulwolf is a member of both the CTTMA Board of Directors and CVG’s State Board of Directors.

Attorney Schulwolf represents senior and mezzanine lenders, venture capital investors (including SBICs), private equity funds, hedge funds, emerging growth companies and private companies in financing, investment, leasing, acquisition, corporate, licensing and restructuring transactions. He regularly advises clients with respect to structuring, negotiating, and closing complex transactions as well as distressed investments and the restructuring of existing investments and loans. Attorney Schulwolf is a frequent speaker on issues relating to commercial and real estate lending, intercreditor issues, venture finance, and venture capital investment. In addition to being named “2014 Lawyer of the Year” in Banking and Finance Law in the Hartford Region by Best Lawyers®, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Banking and Finance Law for the past 11 years.
