Rebecca B. Brown, a partner in Shipman & Goodwin’s Real Estate and Commercial Finance practices, has been elected Secretary of the Board of Directors of Future 5 after previously serving as a member of the organization’s Advisory Board.

Future 5 is a unique program in Stamford that supports motivated low-income high school students in reaching their full potential as financially independent and productive citizens. She has extensive experience with large-scale acquisitions for real estate development projects, including mixed-use residential housing and shopping centers. In addition, she represents landlords and tenants in connection with commercial leasing.

To support the community, Ms. Brown has been a member of the Board of Trustees of The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk since 2014; she has also served on the Fairfield County Bar Association’s Board of Directors since 2015, which sponsors a variety of professional and community services.
