November 9, 2015

Glenn M. Cunningham, Chair of Shipman & Goodwin LLP’s Business Litigation and Intellectual Property practices, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Interlaw Ltd., one of the world’s leading global networks of independent law firms.

“Glenn brings a wealth of experience and will be a valued member of our Board,” said Michael Siebold, Chairman of Interlaw and one of the managing partners of Arnecke Sibeth in Frankfurt, Germany.  Mr. Cunningham joins a Board comprised of attorneys from the United States, Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA), Latin America and Asia.  “Glenn’s appointment follows a period of substantial growth for Interlaw, which has expanded considerably in the last three years,” said Mr. Siebold. “With over 6,800 lawyers across the world, we are a leading global legal practice and our Board reflects this -- it is truly international in its representation,” he added.

“I am delighted to be appointed to the Board at Interlaw. To be part of a truly global practice of elite independent law firms means we have the capacity to work with global clients, and the organization looks set to continue its recent growth. I look forward to being part of that journey,” said Mr. Cunningham.

In his practice with the firm, Mr. Cunningham represents publicly traded and privately held companies in intellectual property and technology cases throughout the United States. His trial work includes the prosecution and defense of unfair competition, non-competition agreement, trade secret, trademark, patent and copyright cases. For nearly a decade, Mr. Cunningham was a Lecturer at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he taught Trial Advocacy.  Mr. Cunningham is also a current member of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Technology Council.
