Firm partners Dormer Stephen and Catherine Intravia served as judges for the 2016 award, which was presented to Dr. Michael Weiner, Vice President, Molecular Sciences of Abcam in Branford.
CURE (Connecticut United for Research Excellence) is a network of life and health care sciences companies, universities, government agencies, scientists, educators, mentors, entrepreneurs, business experts, service providers, and investors committed to ensuring a sustainable, high-value bioscience and health care community.
The Entrepreneur of the Year Award was established by CURE and Shipman & Goodwin in 2013 to showcase unique accomplishments of entrepreneurs in the Connecticut bioscience community. For 16 years, through his companies and his professional activities, Dr. Weiner has contributed time, energy, and resources to training and mentoring bioscience and biobusiness professionals who are currently enriching the Connecticut bioscience cluster.
