Environment, Energy and Land Use Legislative Update

April 14, 2008

Legislative Update – April 14, 2008

The legislative session ends in just over three weeks on May 7, 2008. The table below is not a comprehensive list, but contains of list of bill of interest regarding environmental and land use issues. The table contains a "bill status" link for each bill to provide the most up to date information. For convenience the table also includes a link to each bill’s "file copy" and the latest relevant action on the bill as of April 14, 2008. Some of the bills included are "dead" but are listed to provide information regarding their status to those who may have been tracking those bills from earlier ELU Legislative Updates.

This is the point in the session were bills tend to be amended often either in committee or from the floor. Committees may try to avoid amending bills in committee because of the delay in getting a new file copy and instead hold their amendment until the bill comes up on the floor of the House or Senate. To check for called or uncalled amendments, go to the "Bill Status" page and look for links to amendments or search all amendments from the General Assembly's website search page: http://search.cga.state.ct.us.
