Attached please find the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services final regulations relating to reimbursement of medical foundations organized under Connecticut General Statutes Section 33-182aa. Overall, to comply with the regulations, Connecticut hospitals will need to establish internal processes to ensure that the medical foundation maintains a separate operational and financial existence from the hospital, including but not limited to making sure that the medical foundation's costs do not get claimed on the hospital's DSS cost report.
