Business lawyers are sometimes asked to advise agitated clients whose key employees have left to start a competing business. Our last program for 2009-2010 will address the protection of intangible assets like customer lists, proprietary software and other trade secrets; use of non-competition and non-disclosure agreements, and concerns with sabotage or computer crimes.

Topics will include:

  • The Law of Departing Employees: Duty of Loyalty, Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secret Law
  • Computer Crime
  • Spoliation of Evidence
  • Overview of Available Remedies
