Connecticut Society of CPA's, Not-for-Profit Organizations Conference

June 26, 2013

Speakers: Alan E. Lieberman, Danielle P. Ferrucci, Raymond J. Casella

When:
June 26, 2013

Private foundations are under ever increasing scrutiny by the IRS, the media and the general public. In addition, private foundations are subject to an extensive federal excise tax regime that focuses on a private foundation's income, investments, distributions and transactions with related parties. Ray Casella and Danielle Ferrucci will discuss the private foundation excise tax regime including the excise taxes on investment income, self dealing, failing to distribute income, excess business holdings, jeopardizing investments and taxable expenditures. You will learn how the taxes are calculated, when they are imposed, common scenarios where they arise, and, most importantly, how to help your clients avoid the imposition of such taxes.  Alan Lieberman will serve as moderator for the panel.
