Brown Elected to Maritime Aquarium's Board of Trustees

Partner Rebecca B. Brown has been elected to the Board of Trustees of The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. The only aquarium focused on the Long Island Sound, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk provides living exhibits, marine science and environmental education to inspire people to appreciate the Sound and protect it for future generations.

Ms. Brown is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Finance practices, where she represents lenders and borrowers in real estate financing and commercial and residential real estate development transactions. She has extensive experience handling complex matters involving distressed real property assets, workouts and foreclosures. Ms. Brown has also been engaged in large-scale acquisitions for real estate development projects, including mixed-use residential housing and shopping centers.

In addition to her practice, Ms. Brown currently serves as Co-Chair of the Real Estate Section of the Fairfield County Bar Association, and previously served as Co-Chair of both the Business Section and Young Lawyers Section. On a pro bono basis, she represents a local religious organization in a general counsel capacity. Ms. Brown was recently selected by the Fairfield County Business Journal as one of its “40 Under 40” honorees for her contributions to the Fairfield County business community. In 2013, she was among the Connecticut Law Tribune’s “New Leaders in the Law,” which honored attorneys under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to the legal profession.
